Description
American Traveler is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week radiology assignment, performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures on a 4x10 day shift schedule.
Details
- Hospital radiology department setting
- Performs general and vascular ultrasound procedures; ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast ultrasound are excluded from scope
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
- Associate's degree required
- Active ARDMS registry required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must not expire prior to start date)
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Proficiency with patient positioning, immobilization, image quality evaluation, sterile technique, and infection prevention
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite
Additional Information
- Responsible for operating all ultrasound imaging equipment and performing ultrasound procedures including patient transfer and positioning
- Submits required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
- Coordinates ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
- Communicates openly and accurately with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
- Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
